Luther Family Medical Fund

My name is Scotty Luther 51 years old and I’ve been married to my wonderful and amazing wife Rebecca Luther for 22 years, we have 2 girls Savanna 13 and Selby 17. I was diagnosed in January of this year with stage 3 throat cancer (Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Tonsil) and currently I’m in remission after months of Chemo and Radiation.

I’ve been dealing with health issues from the side effects of chemo and radiation that have kept me out of work this year and will not be able to get back to a normal life anytime soon. It has been a tough year financially and emotionally being that I was the sole provider for my family, the bills have accumulated with no end in sight. I have drained my 401k. Borrowed.  I’ve had to sell family items that were passed down from generations.

Rebecca, my wife age 46 was diagnosed with Huntington’s disease, this year.  Huntington’s is a genetic disease passed down from her mom who died at the age of 62. Huntington’s disease is an inherited disease that causes the progressive breakdown (degeneration) of nerve cells in the brain. Huntington’s disease (HD), also known as Huntington’s chorea, is an inherited disorder that results in the death of brain cells. The earliest symptoms are often subtle problems with mood or mental abilities. A general lack of coordination and an unsteady gait often follow. As the disease advances, uncoordinated, jerky body movements become more apparent. Physical abilities gradually worsen until coordinated movement becomes difficult and the person is unable to talk, walk, speak or care for themselves and become e Mobile.

Rebecca has been the Love of my life for 22 years now.  God has blessed us with two amazing girls Shelby and Savanna. They have been devastated this year with their mom and I both being sick.Although things look significantly different for us right now, I know in my heart that God has plan for us. I am resilient a fighter with the fiercest determination and we will get through this together.

Please consider a donation in any amount to help us through this difficult time.

My family appreciates your love, support, and prayers.
