Natalie Bean
In August 2022, Natalie Bean was diagnosed with Lobular Carcinoma in Situ (breast cancer) after her routine mammogram and a biopsy; a second mass was found in the same breast after scans. On October 19, 2022, Natalie will have a double mastectomy and reconstruction. Natalie’s cancer will be staged after surgery and chemotherapy will commence shortly after. During treatment and recovery, Natalie will be challenged to continue her daily routines.
Natalie has a wonderful community helping to provide in-home care as needed for the next several months. She has been overwhelmed by the support and encouragement that has been shown following her diagnosis. This will be an arduous journey for the next several months. Natalie is confident that God’s grace is sufficient for her daily needs. The body of Christ is already providing in tangible ways through love, encouragement, planning and care for her and her three children. Her favorite verse of comfort and victory is Deuteronomy 33:26-27:
“There is no one like the God of Jerusalem, who rides on the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. The eternal God is your refuge and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you.”
