In the first week of April, Pam was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer, a complete shock to our family. She hasn’t ever smoked, has always been in good health, and is only 56 years old.

Since the diagnosis, she’s undergone additional testing and a successful procedure to remove brain lesions. Now, despite the late stage of Pam’s cancer, her oncologist is hopeful about special targeted therapy, which has been successful for other patients and given them extended time to be with their loved ones.

That is what our family is hoping and praying for. Pam’s husband Tim and her children, grandchildren and extended family are all praying for that extra time. We are also praying for help to fund Pam’s treatment.  Tim is self-employed, and his business took a serious hit from the economy this year. Without help, the money just isn’t there to fund Pam’s cancer battle.
