In 1989, our church was planted in a Chicago school with a vision to bring the hope of the gospel to our city. Nearly 20 years later, God provided a permanent home in the Near North neighborhood—then a place marked by deep need and poverty. Since then, the area has transformed into the most populated, dense, and one of the most expensive neighborhoods in all of Chicago. But our mission has remained the same: to love and serve the people who live here.

For years, the elders have prayed for greater pastoral presence in the neighborhood—to be closer to where people live, to practice hospitality, and to care more deeply for our church family and neighbors. In late 2024, God answered that prayer through the generous donation of a parsonage. It’s a remarkable gift that allows one of our pastors and his family to live in an otherwise unaffordable neighborhood.

Already, we’ve seen fruit: new families joining through shared meals and connection, and increased care for our members thanks to proximity and presence. But the home comes with costs that our church cannot fully meet alone.
