Cross Ministries
Our Story & Mission
We are a church and ministry using our restaurant as a business-as-mission, reaching Wembley and beyond with the love of Jesus through food, hospitality, and genuine relationship.
Our story began in 2016 as a small house church in Wembley Central, one of the most deprived areas of London in the north-west. From the start, our heart was simple: to love our community well, especially the poor and the homeless. We cooked hot meals in our own kitchens, went out onto the streets to feed those in need, prayed with them, and shared the hope of the Gospel. As the church grew, we began renting spaces to gather, while continuing to serve the homeless faithfully.
During this time, God placed a clear vision on our hearts: to start a community restaurant that would be more than a business. Wembley was seeing a growing Goan community, and we felt called to serve them with authentic Goan food, while also creating a space where the poor and homeless could receive hot meals, dignity, and love.
This vision became Cross Restaurant. It quickly became a place where our church met, where we gathered to pray, relationships were built, and lives were touched by God. Faith and everyday life met around the table.
In 2024, we were asked to leave our property due to redevelopment plans. Although the restaurant closed, the mission never stopped. We returned to meeting in our homes and once again served the homeless from our own kitchens.
By God’s grace, on 2nd March 2025, we reopened in a new high-street location in Wembley, a testimony of God’s provision. Since then, we have been feeding the homeless daily, sharing the Gospel through real connection, and welcoming people from all walks of life. Our restaurant has become a place where the hungry are fed, the lonely find family, and people encounter the love of Jesus.
We are now raising £110,000 to secure the lease of our high-street property for the next 20 years. This building is home to our restaurant, our church, and the ministry God has entrusted to us.
Your support helps us stay rooted in Wembley, continue feeding those in need, disciple believers, plant churches, and keep our doors open to all who need Jesus.
