Dream Foundation
A single mother raising four children in a Uganda Nakivale refugee camp has recently received the title to the shelter she occupies, thanks to the efforts of the Dream Foundation.
The family’s greatest wish was for a safe and comfortable home. Their old shelter has a dirt floor and no windows. a fire pit in the corner of the bedroom to cook on, leaving them vulnerable and weary. But hope arrived when The Dream Foundation came together to build a new beginning.
With dedication and teamwork, a brand-new roof can be raised overhead, with a sturdy foundation laid to keep the family safe. Two bright windows to bring a flood of sunshine into the rooms, a floor cemented with carefully plastered and painted walls, inside and out, to create a welcoming space. A solar light is needed to brighten the nights, while a rocket stove would provide warmth and a place to prepare meals.
The Foundation has provided mattresses, giving everyone a soft place to rest after long days. The children received school fees and uniforms, opening doors to learning and new dreams. An ongoing supply of rice and beans ensured the family never went hungry, nourishing them with every meal.
This support will transform their lives, turning hardship into hope and a house into a home. The story continues, as the Dream Foundation works tirelessly to fund more essential items and improvements, ensuring the family’s well-being and future remain bright. And anyone can join this journey, helping to write new chapters of comfort, opportunity, and joy for families in need.
You can support the Dream Foundation, which continues to fund essential items and improvements for the family’s shelter and well-being.
