 We are reaching out to ask for your support for Dylan who has been recently diagnosed with Stage 4 oral squamous cell carcinoma. Dylan has been the sole provider for his family, which includes his loving wife, Lupita, and their 2-year-old son, Dylan Jr. In the coming weeks, Dylan will undergo a series of critical treatments, including a glossectomy, neck dissection, chemotherapy, and radiation. These procedures are vital for his recovery but also come with significant medical and associated costs. As Dylan focuses on his fight against cancer, his family faces the challenge of maintaining their household and caring for their young son. They cannot afford daycare and wish to keep their child at home during this difficult time. The Sargents are looking for all of the help they can receive during this difficult time as Dylan is not able to receive short-term disability pay during this time and may not qualify for SSID because his recovery time is expected to be less than a year. His wife has returned to work part-time, but will need to take time off again when Dylan is out of his surgery, which will take place 11/04/24, to care for him as he recovers.
