Elizabeth Gatewood

Elizabeth Gatewood (B.A. in Theology, Wheaton College, US; M.Div., Duke Divinity School, US) is beginning the second year of her PhD in Theological Ethics at the University of Aberdeen. She is working to articulate a Protestant theology of the household in conversation with Karl Barth’s theological anthropology and ethics. She’s convinced that a theology of the household centered on christology will speak to the realities and challenges of our everyday life. Elizabeth’s hope is to call the church and academy to consider the household as an institution capable of manifesting our deepest theological commitments and hopes. She lives in Aberdeen, Scotland, with her husband, a Presbyterian minister, and their four children.
