House Church catches fire on Easter Sunday
Friends,
Jimmy and Elizabeth Hester, along with their 5 children–Jameson, Mercy, Patience, Justice, and Noble–just lost their home in a devastating house fire that took place on Easter Sunday while they were out of town.
Everything is gone, along with many of their pets, farm animals, their possessions, 2 vehicles and their entire home. Thankfully, they were not in the home when it caught on fire. We are taking up a collection from Churches, businesses and individuals to support this family of 7 as they restart from scratch, literally.
The Hester’s are a God-fearing family always looking to serve and help others in need,
Jimmy just graduated from Advance Center Ministry Training last May. After much prayer seeking “what’s next”, they felt called to minister to Church Hurt people, those that will not go to or back to the Church building because they have been hurt by legalism, scandal or whatever the reason may be. The Hesters were answering the call to minister to them through prayer in their homes, in the hospital or wherever they have a need.
The Church is not a building; it’s the people of God. So they were making their home available for House Church for Church hurt people.
Also, in the past this home was regularly used for ministry hosting weddings, celebrations of life, youth events and was the meeting place for UCF campus ministry CCF (Christian Campus Fellowship) in the past.
Jimmy and his oldest son Jameson recently returned from repairing a children’s church in Jamaica that was damaged by hurricanes. Jimmy serves often through his new ministry, Florida Relief Outreach that seeks to partner with the local Church to help take care of widows, orphans and those in distress (James 1).
It is especially heartbreaking that their house was lost on EASTER SUNDAY of all days. However, we know that our God YHWH is all-powerful has the power to restore all things. Here is what we need:
1. First and most importantly, please keep their family in PRAYER. We can’t do anything without YHWH, please pray for His strength, guidance, and wisdom on how to move forward.
2. Second, if you are able to GIVE anything monetarily, even as little as $1, God can multiply it. We please ask for your help in supporting this family as they start over.
3. Please SHARE this post everywhere that you can. Even if you don’t live in Oviedo, you never know who might see this post and have the means to help.
All donations will go 100% to this need. While you see on the donation page that Helping Hands has an 8% ministry fee, we have an anonymous donation fund that has agreed to pay all fees.
Thank you.
