Luke Caudill
In April 2025, Luke went in for what we thought would be a simple eye exam after he began experiencing blurred vision. What we expected to be a visit for glasses quickly turned into something far more serious. The optometrist noticed neurological concerns and immediately sent us to the ER at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
A CT scan revealed a large mass in the center of Luke’s brain, and he was admitted right away. Days later, a biopsy confirmed the diagnosis: Luke has a rare type of grade 1 glioma tumor. Because of its location, the tumor cannot be surgically removed. The only path forward is therapy aimed at shrinking — and ultimately eliminating — the tumor.
Finding the right therapy has been difficult due to the tumor’s rarity. After extensive research and consultation, we found a specialized clinic in Houston that has reported promising results for cases like Luke’s. This approach gives us real hope, but it comes with significant financial costs that are not fully covered by insurance.
Luke is a determined 13-year-old who loves hiking, reading, playing the piano, and sports. He faces this diagnosis with incredible courage and faith in God, but will continue to find strength in the community of people rallying around him as well.
This fund was created to help ensure Luke receives the care he needs without delay. Every donation goes directly toward his treatment, travel, and ongoing care.
On behalf of Luke and our family, thank you for standing with us. Your generosity provides not just medical treatment, but also hope for a healthy future.
