Marion B Sneed was born 11/16/89. In 2012 Marion enlisted into Active duty with the Airforce. His first deployment was to Qatar for 6 months in 2013. Second deployment was to Afghanistan for 6 months in 2015. And then his third deployment was to Kuwait for 6 months in 2021. Marion was active duty for 6 years and 6 years traditional guard , so in total Marion served for 12 years in the military. Marion met his soulmate Monica Sneed in 2008 and got married in 2019. Marion shares two beautiful boys with Monica, Trey 8 yrs old and Kaiden 5 yrs old. Marion works as a Ramp agent for United Airlines and has been working for them for 2 years. His ultimate dream is to become a pilot. When Marion was 7 yrs old he would put together airplane models and rebuild them over and over again. Thats where his passion for airplanes began. Marion went to Metro State college to pursue Aerospace science.  His next goal so to go to Spartan aviation school to become an airplane mechanic or instructor to get closer to his pilot license. In 2024 Marion was experiencing some really bad headaches. They would come and go so we thought it was just migraines and left it alone. Well in the end of summer to early fall of 2024 Marion’s headaches got even worse to the point he couldn’t see or talk and he felt disoriented. This went on for at least 7 months. In January of this year Marion had a really bad episode to where Monica had to call 911 EMTs came and headache went away but Monica reassured them to stay because she felt something else was going to happen and sure enough Marion had a full convulsion seizure in the livingroom of their home. EMTs took him to Parker hospital to immediately do a MRI scan. After several hours ER doctor came in and said Marion has a 8cm Tumor on the right side of his brain we need to transfer him to UCHealth. Marion spent a week in the hospital to wait for surgery, at the time we didn’t have medical insurance so we had to enroll in Medicaid but until that would process through we had to wait for surgery. We finally got the green light for surgery. On January 17th we were told by neurosurgeon that Marion’s tumor is cancerous but to make sure we need to remove it. January 20th Marion underwent surgery for 4 1/2 hours to remove tumor after surgery we were told it was indeed cancerous. The cancer that he has is called astrocytoma mutation IDH Grade 2. Because of the kind of tumor or cancer, it causes seizures so he’s on anti-seizure meds for a few years or until cleared by doctor. Marion had two options For treatment either do chemo and radiation or take a cancer pill called Vora. Once we learned all the pros and cons of each, we decided that Marion would benefit better off of the Vora medication so he is currently taking that and will be taking that for the rest of his life. The medicine targets the tumor and will help it from growing or moving anywhere else in the body. The type of cancer that Marion has is slow growing and that’s how we didn’t know anything about it until He had the seizure. Every headache marion experienced before getting it removed was a potential seizure. Marion and Monica are currently due to this extreme hardship. We are hoping and praying that there are some wonderful people out there that are willing to help in this time of need to help us cover bills and any other expenses during this time.
