Mitchel Cooksey

Hello everyone! My name is Mitchel Cooksey. I have a wife and two young children. I have been serving at the Salem4Youth Ranch since 2014. I first started volunteering at S4Y and then joined on staff in 2015. I serve as one of the Equine Vocational Instructors and Trainer. I also chair our Advisement Council and represent the Vocational Programs at Salem4Youth Ranch. The Salem4Youth Ranch is a private christian boarding school whose mission is to ENGAGE young men 13-16 years old, and their families with the transforming hope of the Gospel to ENCOURAGE and EQUIP them for Biblical Reconciliation. Biblical reconciliation is defined as the restoration of a broken relationship between God and humanity, as well as between individuals. It involves moving from a state of separation, hurt, and brokenness to one of healing, wholeness, forgiveness, and reunion. At Salem4Youth Ranch our core values are intercessory prayer, relational evangelism, and the sufficiency of scripture. These core values guide us as we serve the young men at the ranch through formal education, sports, and vocational programs (equine, woodworking, photography, and welding). We also have formal Biblical Counseling for our students on a weekly basis. Christ is the center of our program. We as staff strive to live out the Gospel each and every day as we serve the young men and their families. Thank you for prayers and financial giving so that I can continue serving as long as the Lord has called me here at Salem4Youth Ranch!
