St. Paulin, Ricot

My name is Ricot. I am a husband, a father, and a native of Haiti. Two months ago, my life changed dramatically when I was diagnosed with advanced follicular B-cell lymphoma.

Because the specialized treatment I need is not available in Haiti, I have had to remain outside my home country to receive care—far from my wife and our 7-year-old daughter. At a time when we need each other most, we are walking through this difficult season apart.

Accessing treatment has also brought a significant financial burden. Without adequate health insurance coverage for the care I need, my treatment was initially delayed. By God’s grace, I was eventually able to begin treatment as a self-pay patient, but the medical expenses are far beyond what I can manage on my own.

At the same time, my family is facing another difficult reality. Due to ongoing insecurity in Haiti’s capital, they have had to relocate to another part of the country, leaving me away from them while I receive treatment. Not being able to physically help my wife and daughter through this transition has made an already difficult journey even harder.

Yet, in the midst of the uncertainty, separation, and financial pressure, my faith remains strong. I am deeply grateful to God for sustaining me through every stage of this journey. I remain hopeful and determined to complete my treatment, regain my strength, and return home to my loved ones.

Today, I humbly invite you to stand with me. Your prayers mean more than I can express, and any financial contribution—large or small—will help cover my medical expenses and ease the burden of continuing treatment.

Every gift brings me one step closer to finishing this fight, recovering my health, and embracing my wife and daughter again.

Thank you for praying for me and supporting me during this difficult time. Your generosity is helping me not only with medical bills, but also with continuing treatment and fighting my way back home to my family.

May God richly bless you for being part of this journey.
