Suzanne Cairns
Thank you for supporting Suzanne & Brian through Suzanne’s cancer treatment.
Suzanne was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer that requires intensive treatment both before and after surgery. Thankfully, her cancer is stage two and was caught early, but the treatment for this cancer is intense and physically difficult.
Due to the specifics of Suzanne’s diagnosis, an operation to remove the cancer is not yet an option. To prepare for surgery, Suzanne began a series of chemo treatments on June 9th. This round begins with 12 weeks of once a week chemo. These will be followed by 4 additional rounds of stronger infusions spaced three weeks apart. This will be followed by surgery and a repeat of the chemo treatment plan. All in all, her cancer will require a full year of aggressive treatment.
Just after Suzanne’s diagnosis, the Cairns’ son, Romann, who lives with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, was hospitalized with complications. Romann is wheelchair bound and requires 24 hour care, of which Suzanne is an integral part. Brian will now be caregiving for both Romann and Suzanne along with his responsibilities of running a non-profit. Suzanne will be taking short term disability from work. The Cairns family has long carried a heavy load, and this new chapter has added significant strain— emotionally, physically, and financially.
Suzanne and Brian’s faith in their Savior is unshakeable. They trust in the Lord’s provision for their lives and in God’s plan for their family. They appreciate everyone’s prayers.
Any funds raised will go to the Cairns family to help ease some of the stress associated with cancer treatment and to provide caregiving support for Romann. Donations are tax deductible.
Thank you in advance for loving this family well. We are thankful for each and every prayer.
