Tami Floyd

Tami Floyd and her husband Rick have been helping others for a long time.  For the past eight years, they have been working as volunteers assisting people who are currently incarcerated or recently released into the community.  To date, they have helped over two hundred people to obtain housing and other resources after incarceration. They have been able to accomplish this with no funding assistance.

Tami and Rick also love to ride their motorcycle.  They especially love to participate in benefit rides.  On August 16, 2025, they were coming home from a benefit ride for Veterans and POW’s and unfortunately lost control of their motorcycle. Although Rick was not seriously injured, Tami tragically sustained a catastrophic spinal cord injury which has left her paralyzed from the neck down.

After extensive rehabilitation, Tami is now returning home.  Tami and Rick’s home was not ADA accessible, so they needed to make extensive renovations, including:

  • A long ramp leading into their home
  • Other smaller ramps inside the home
  • Bathroom modifications
  • A stair lift to transport Tami to the upper level of the house

They will also need to purchase an ADA accessible van.  Tami will have long-term outpatient rehabilitation to which she will need to be transported.

Outstanding medical bills and the prospect of more expenses … combined with neither Tami or Rick currently being able to work … have made their financial condition almost unbearable.  Rick has been Tami’s full-time caregiver since the day of the accident and is unsure if or when he will be able to return to work.  Tami has been learning adaptive technology to facilitate her return to work, but it will likely be months before she is able to resume her duties.

Tami and Rick have helped so many people, and the outpouring of love and support has been phenomenal, as have God’s continuous blessings.  Tami has made tremendous progress towards recovery; however, she has a very long road ahead.

They are asking for your help and support as they continue their journey to as much recovery as God will allow.
