Tim Olk
The Man Who Captures the Bravery of Others Needs Our Help!
For years, Tim Olk has been a fixture in the fire service community. Whether he’s documenting the courage of first responders through his lens or standing by his brothers and sisters in uniform, Tim has spent his life showing up for others. Now, following a series of devastating setbacks, it’s our turn to show up for him.
The fight ahead continues. Tim is quietly preparing for another massive cancer battle. This will happen on January 30th, when Tim undergoes major surgery to remove the cancer once again. This procedure requires a five-day hospital stay and a grueling recovery period of at least two months.
Additionally, just before Christmas, Tim’s wife suffered a traumatic fall down a flight of stairs. The accident resulted in three broken bones in her ankle, requiring surgery and the placement of plates and pins. Since that day, Tim has been a full-time caregiver—handling every meal, every load of laundry, and every medical need, often on zero sleep. Amid this exhaustion, Tim was also involved in a car accident, adding further physical and mental strain to an already stressful situation, pushing him to a breaking point.
The burdens are mounting, with Tim’s wife unable to work or receive pay during her recovery, and Tim is about to be sidelined by his own surgery; the financial pressure is immense. The costs of medical bills, daily living expenses, and the recovery process are stacking up at a time when they should be focused solely on healing.
How can you help?
We are reaching out to the fire service family, friends, and the community to help ease the burden on this incredible couple. Your donations will go directly toward:
- Medical expenses that are not covered by insurance.
- Monthly bills and groceries while both are unable to work.
- Support for Tim’s recovery following his surgery on January 30th.
Tim has spent his life honoring those who run toward the fire. Let’s make sure he doesn’t have to walk through this one alone. No amount is too small; any donation is deeply appreciated.
Thank you for standing with Tim and his wife.
