Help Thaddeus Continue His Medical Care

Thaddeus has been living with daily pain and serious health complications since 2021. After years of searching for answers, he is finally making progress through physical therapy, medical treatment, nervous system retraining, testing, and osteopathic care.

These ongoing costs are about $2,000 per month beyond what our family can cover on our own, and we are asking for help to keep his care consistent.

Thaddeus’s Story

In the fall of 2021, our family got sick. Three of us recovered. Thaddeus did not.

He was eleven years old when the pain began. His fever went away, but the stomach pain stayed — and then it grew worse. For years, we searched for answers through local doctors, Children’s Hospital, UCLA, and specialists across California and beyond.

We eventually learned that Thaddeus has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, with complications including Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and nervous system dysfunction. The last few years have changed every part of his life. Thaddeus spent much of that time in bed, in daily pain, unable to attend normal school, church, sports, or activities.

Our family changed his diet, moved across town, remediated our home for mold, replaced our air system, and pursued the medical care and therapies that have slowly helped him improve.

The Progress We Are Seeing

And he is improving.

We truly believe the care, prayers, and support he has received have helped make this progress possible.

Thaddeus is still in pain every day, and he is still very limited outside the house — but he is also laughing again. He is talking with us, playing chess online, recovering from setbacks more quickly, and beginning to hope for more of a life beyond illness.

What Donations Help Cover

Right now, the medical care and therapies that are helping Thaddeus cost about $2,000 per month beyond what our family can manage on our own.

Donations help cover:

• Physical therapy — about $1,000 per month
• Blood work and other testing
• Medications his doctors consider medically necessary but insurance has not covered
• Nervous system retraining
• Osteopathic care

We are working every day to move closer to covering these costs ourselves. We are determined to close the gap — but right now, we still need help keeping Thaddeus’s care going.
